I love this photo I took of Amelia at the Lan Su Chinese Garden. Amelia is one of three traveling blythes going around the world in 2011. Amelia stayed with me for about 10 days after BlytheCon 2011. The red inscription written on the rocks by the waterfall says "Ten Thousand Ravines Engulfed in Deep Clouds."

After going to the Junie Moon link above you can pick the junie moon blog & see the photo I am talking about containing a tan blythe called Manuheali'i with a blue ukulele at the beach.
I love this girl & while my same girl, a look alike Manuheali'i, won't be in Hawaii on the beach, she will be visiting a beach near LA called Rodondo. Maybe I will get a blythe Manuheali'i or at least a Mondie beach photo too!!! without the ukulele ... You can check out the Junie Moon Blog to see what is new for Blythe!

The Larger World

My heart is heavy right now. We are all thinking of the people in New Zealand and now Japan. Even worse in Japan are the tsunami that hit and of course the nuclear question. We can only hope that the nuclear issue is resolved and that we all move to solar energy leaving oil and nuclear energy behind. Japan does not need another nuclear tragedy. Give what little you have to an organization you trust. It is the little we do that spreads across the world and makes it a better place.

I am reminded that I should let everyone know if they don't already that Blythecon 2011 is going to occur in Portland Oregon on Monday, June 20, 2011! I can guarantee that you will have a fantastic time. Also I just saw and read some incredible information on Blythelife about Smidgegirl Check out the @blythelifecom interview with @smidgegirl and the awesome giveaway! http://bit.ly/fnGvpw Smidgegirl makes some awesome 1/6 scale furniture much in the style of the 70's
Unfortunately, I also read an article on Blythecon about fake blythes, I am reserving judgement as to whether the blythes are really fake or if they are just poor quality or not enough quality control by takara. There is a group now at flickr called Fake Takara Blythe Galore: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1648247@N22/ I leave it up to you to decide if you think the girls shown are fakes or if they are just the result as I stated earlier of poor quality control.
