Love this (see if you can follow the link! Please if sensitive to word of th 4 letter kind don't llisten: it is the song called Fuck You! by Lily Allen if you want to listen to the words I can give your the link to listen...
I don't think this helps anything as it reduces one to the same kind of person it describes, but I know sometimes we all get tired of listening to the loudness of the other side! or others that think differently than we do!

The Howlin Night...

So I sit here on a gray dingy old sofa with pale sky colored walls enclosing around me (keeping the dark night out) as I am in a very small room. In earlier times I believe it was a parlor as our house was built in 1872. Sadly few if any traces of that time are left in this house as it's rooms and their purposes have been changed many times to meet the needs of it's current tenants (Wouldn't it be nice if our leaders, our diplomats and for that matter all the people in our world as well as our animals could be as flexible as this house has been.) And while we may use the rooms in a slightly different manner now there is an attempt to restore pieces of Victorian structure back into this old house with just a hint of modern twist or functionality brought to whatever the current structural project is in this house at the time which I might say has been ongoing for at least 30 years!
As I sit here on the same old sofa typing away on my laptop in the middle of the night, I hear my eldest cat yowling loudly for something to drink from our bathroom water faucet. She does not like the kitchen faucet you must understand as one cannot control the amount of water coming from it so that it forms just the right amount of fine thread like falling water from a tap. She has also taught our youngest cat from the time he was a kitten to drink from the faucet too, but he has formed his own style. He does not turn his head just so like she does so that he will not get wet. Instead, he lifts one of his paws to the water and drinks licking his paw as the water runs over it, all this to the distain of my older female cat who of course feels she taught him quite the proper way. But I digress here as she is yowlin from the deepest part of her soul. She is not a mean cat rather she is a cantankerous cat a characteristic I hope to have when I am her age or older. Sometimes her howl works after all she is old enough and it is not that unreasonable request unless you are thinking of water and energy waste and consumption, then turning on the tap for an animal to slowly take little licks from is not so foolish. Meanwhile around me I have my dog; a black lab service dog who they say is a horse. He is trying to wade through the both the large and small boxes from Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Italy and Finland to come and rest by me. As I sit here among boxes and dolls, I cannot help but think how odd it is that although an adult now that there was a time when a child I was almost always a double spy running around my neighborhood. I revered trains be they large enough to ride all over the country on such as the Empire Builder, let alone the world or so small like the El train in Chicago, the Max train in Portland, the A train in New York. I adored trains of any type even a freight train and each of it's box cars enough to notice each cars details and numbers. I find it odd that a person who loved miniature trains so much in childhood should suddenly make the leap into the miniature doll world and beyond.
Is it really that big a leap? I dare say the Psychologist would say it is; as a child I must have needed to explore my male side though a female and only now am I finally exploring my feminine side might be said. But for me was it and is it a way to explore both worlds be they separate or not, a way to explore all the world's objects and a way I can create, observe and control these objects so completely on my own terms. After all I could create, explore and control-manipulate this small world of HO as a child and I can create, explore, control-manipulate the miniature furniture as an adult and are they not all objects of the world that I can explore completely under my control in petite size. Aren't the underlying currents both of my childlike world of creating miniature scenes of villages and trains - the outside world and now houses and the dolls that inhabit them - the inside world two aspects or two sides of the same coin and thus really the same hobby; the world in miniature both inside and out. Or is that outside then in...lol!

Beginnings

I am just exploring this site and how to blog, but it will be a blog about my world both big and small.
