Tokori at Portland Halloween Blythe Meat!!!

I brought 3 girls to the Portland Halloween Blythe Meat & couldn't believe when Tokori created by Melacacia & Goldie dressed in BubuJojo with TSNWF polymer clay shoes for going to the nutcracker tied for cleverest costume. The two girls won an HoP Halloween dress. Jess from Washington also came & took a beautiful photo of Tokori: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bryanandjess/6297450798/

Here are a few other photos from the meet:
Goldie came dressed for the Nutcracker in an outfit created by BubuJojo & polymer clay shoes by TSNWF. Bugan (Hampster) dressed up like a gypsy carrying some eyes in her hand, a Jack-O-Lantern with a rat inside, a cut off ear & a saw sticking out with her scary rabbit in front guarding her!!!
Austin's girl Wanda was dressed as one of the prettiest clowns I have ever seen...
We had a girl who emerged from the sea just for this Halloween meet...
& Kyle's girl Truck graced us with her bug like antennae!!!
Jess brought sweet Sparrow
while we were also visited by little Red Riding Hood.

Amelia the traveling Blythe with my custom Goldie - 2 friends

It was a great experience hosting a traveling blythe as not only was it fun to photograph the custom traveling blythe, but it also brought a shared experience with other people who have hosted her providing me with a new bond with others & deepening my friendships. If you want to share in the experience of watching the 3 different custom Blythe girls traveling the world, you can go to the flickr group It's a Small World. Well now it's coming back & will be published both as a full size magazine & a miniature about not just blythe, but other dolls too covering a variety of topics important to doll lovers everywhere. The Magic of a Sunny Autumn Day

"Why Are You In Black???", by rhubs knit
"Why Are You In Black???",, a photo by rhubs knit on Flickr.

"Why Are You In Black???",

asks Komiko-Bramble.

"For Halloween of course!" explains Momo.

"but what is Halloween???", asks Bramble.

Explaining this is going to take a lot of work..., Momo thinks to herself

While Komiko-Bramble enjoys the warmth of the sun & asks even more questions.

After all Komiko-Bramble's questions are answered for now, Momo wonders if the autumn sun is

only a dream. Momo prays the sun stays around for awhile so she can go to a pumpkin patch &

pick out her very own pumpkin...

I myself cherished the sun as my big beautiful black lab Andy & I went over to the park to watch my hubby & his team from work play kickball. After the game we walked John home so he could nap, the poor old weary man, while Andy & I took off to enjoy the sun, where would we go? Originally I thought we might make it as far as the river, but instead we walked down to a yarn shop grabbing Elizabeth Zimmerman's Almanac off the shelves & finding a big old sofa to sit on in front of a large plated glass widow with the sun streaming in on my back as I read about Aran sweaters. Then on to the next yarn shop just 4 blocks up the street & in we went to read a book about Artic lace knitting done in Alaska through a co-op of native women, each group with their own pattern or rather I read the book while Andy layed down on the rug & started to snore. Why did we go in & out of the sun on such a beautiful day? I suppose the beautiful crisp cool sunny day reminds me of the coming winter & the need to knit overcomes me with thoughts about holiday giving. It's a seasonal thing!!!

Thinking of selling some of my girls which is so hard as I don't know which blythe I want to part with, but I do need to downsize just so I have some room to work in my studio...
If you know of anyone who would like to purchase a blythe or if there is one you would like to purchase, please look at my flickr stream see who you would like & make me an offer. I am at http://www.flickr.com/photos/rhubsknit/ if you would like to look at photos and b.cec1@yahoo.com for offers.
